Tattoo Pictures

Tattoo pictures can be found in any tattoo shop and in the tattoo artist portfolios. If you're in the market for finding tattoo pictures, try to pay a visit to at least two local tattoo shops to see what styles of tattoo pictures they offer. If nothing in the shops suits your taste, you should take advantage of the many offerings available online.

Many online websites are devoted to tattoos. There, you can find countless selections of tattoo pictures and font styles. Several websites even offer free designs that you can download and print from your home computer, to later take along with you when you visit the tattoo artist.

One online website featuring a huge selection of tattoo art is Tattoo Pictures Museum. You can find this site at www.tattoo-pics-museum.com. They not only offer an entire gallery of popular tattoo designs, but have a few free designs as well. Most of the websites featuring tattoo art have several hundred designs per category. Let's say you would like a heart design for your tattoo. Search "heart" on the selected website and you will be shown the entire category of designs that feature hearts. Remember too that if you do not like the colors used in the tattoo design, you can always request a different color or colors.

Some tattoo websites also offer a gallery of tattoo pictures featuring the art designs on real people. This gives you a good idea of what the design will look like when placed on a certain area of the body. It is also a great way to gauge the size of the tattoo and decide if you like the appearance as is, or would choose to make the design larger or smaller. It is a good idea to look at several tattoo pictures before making up your mind which one you want to choose. This image will become a part of you for the rest of your days, so a little time spent searching for the perfect tattoo image is important and will help you make the right choice.

Tattoo Images

Tattoo images are certainly a true form of personal expression. With the amazing tattoo artists around these days, almost any type of image can be made into a tattoo. Certain tattoo images may reveal personal things about you, such as your religious beliefs, family status, or perhaps your occupation. Think of the many people you have probably seen with tattoos of a cross, or of a spouse or child's name, or maybe some symbol that reveals what they do for a living or something they are passionate about. Since tattoos are usually done to represent something important to the person who receives it, it is best to choose your personal tattoo images carefully.

Think twice before opting for a tattoo image that may be offensive or off-putting to certain people or groups. Ask yourself if this is really something you want to carry around on your skin forever. Keep in mind to, that the tattoo image you get when you are twenty may no longer be relevant to your life when you are married and have small children. Thinking about a young child seeing certain tattoo images might make you think twice before proceeding with anything questionable.

When considering tattoo images, think of where you would like the particular image to be placed. This can influence the choice of image or perhaps cause you to reconsider the location of the image. If you are having difficulty in finding tattoo images, many websites are available online that have thousands of designs for you to browse through to help make your selection. If nothing online appeals to you, visit your local tattoo shops and ask to see examples of their work. Most of the time, finding great tattoo images is not the problem, but rather narrowing down the choices to that one special image that you will want to carry with you for a lifetime.

Tattoo Art

When deciding to get a tattoo, choosing the right tattoo art is one of the most important aspects of the entire tattooing process. Finding available tattoo art is as easy as browsing through your local tattoo shops, or sitting down at your own computer and perusing through one of the many online tattoo websites that each offer thousands of tattoo art choices. The problem is not in finding tattoo art, but rather in narrowing down your choices.

Consider what statement you'd like to make with your tattoo. Do you simply want something fun or trendy, or would you prefer your tattoo to have some more personal meaning? It is best to avoid anything trendy when selecting something that will forever be a part of your body, so the personal aspect is a much better choice.

Religion and family are two subjects that are very near and dear to many people's hearts, therefore they make good subjects for tattoo art. It's best to avoid permanently inking the name of a current boyfriend or girlfriend though, because even if your relationship seems solid, things do happen, leaving many people regretting their chosen tattoo art featuring that person's name.

Various tattoo art websites operate differently. Simply do an Internet search of "tattoo art" and several options should come up in your search results. The first one that appeared on my search was a website called TattooArt, found at www.tattoo-art.com. This website features over 20,000 original tattoo art designs. This site allows the user to purchase a selected design and download a high quality digital file and stencil, which can then be taken to their chosen tattoo artist for application.

Keep in mind, no matter how good the tattoo art, the art is only as good as the tattoo artist placing it on your skin. Make sure to do your homework and choose your tattoo shop and artist carefully so that you are left with no regrets, just a great looking tattoo.

Tattoo Font

After you have taken the time and energy to choose the perfect tattoo image it's time to select the perfect tattoo font to go along with it. Or, perhaps you are opting to have a text only tattoo, such as a word or quote, popular phrase, or favorite song lyrics. Either way, making the right choice in a tattoo font can really add a special touch to the finished tattoo.

When selecting a tattoo font, consider such important things as size and color as well. Determine what type of lettering would look best with your image or for your text design. Some types of lettering to consider are handwriting or calligraphy scripts. Many tattoos use the popular Old English fonts which hold some medieval appeal. Other fonts such as Celtic fonts and graffiti fonts are currently popular choices. Keep in mind that you will have this on your body forever, so choose wisely.

There are many styles of fonts to choose from. A tattoo font can be chosen based upon styles, themes, or even languages. Popular font styles include cursive lettering, stencil, pixel, graffiti, brush, and typewriter. Popular themes include movies, band, braille, symbols, wedding, and tattoo. Popular languages to use in a tattoo font include Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Sanskrit, Khmer, and Greek. If none of these fonts appeal to you, you may be able to get your tattoo artist to do a freestyle font, which will be his or her own personal style of lettering. It pays off to ask the artist to see samples of their freestyle lettering, to make certain you are happy with it before it goes on your skin.

Many tattoo websites allow you to generate a font design on their website, choosing from a wide range of fonts, colors, and sizes. One such website is www.fontmeme.com. You can play around with your chosen word or phrase and experiment with all of the options to see what you like the best. Try several different fonts, and play around with size and color options before making your final tattoo font selection.

Tattoo Shops

Tattoo shops are also known by the old fashioned term tattoo parlors, or more modernly, as tattoo studios. In any case, they are all places where permanent tattoos and sometimes body piercings are given. One of the most important things to consider when selecting tattoo shops is the standard of safety. Visit any potential shop and see for yourself if the shop is clean and orderly, especially in the areas where the tattoo artists are working.

Any tattoo shops you might consider using should follow strict safety and sterilization methods. The tattoo shop should have biohazard containers available to hold anything contaminated with blood such as used needles, etc. You should also make sure to ask the tattoo shops if they use an autoclave to sterilize their instruments. Any needles used in the tattoo shops should come in sterile packages and be opened in front of the client. The tattoo artist should also use good handwashing practices, wear new, disposable gloves and take great care to avoid any cross contamination during the preparation stage and actual tattooing process.

Some states have stricter rules about tattoo shops than others. The health departments in the states of Oregon and Hawaii require tattoo artists to pass a test to prove their knowledge of the current state regulations, health and safety precautions. Any tattooing done in Oregon state is required to be performed in a licensed facility with a proper and current license. Most states do not regulate the tattooing industry, so it pays to be cautious and use good judgement when choosing tattoo shops in unregulated states.

With the increasing popularity of tattoo shops and tattooing in general, take the time to really decide with place is right for you. Visit more than one shop and compare cleanliness and the quality of the work the artists perform.

Tattoo For Girls

In modern society, it is almost just as common for a woman to be tattooed as it is for a man. When choosing a tattoo for girls, a few special considerations should be made. Girls should keep in mind the location in which they place the tattoo, their occupation, and the fact that someday they may become mothers if they are not already.

Many times a tattoo for girls needs to be covered up or concealed for work or certain social functions. For example, if you happen to be an elementary school teacher, Sunday School teacher, or president of the Parent Teachers Association at your small child's school, certain people may frown on you having a visible tattoo, especially if it's not one that is super cute or innocent looking. Granted, this is unfair because many wonderful, decent people have tattoos, but's let's face facts, some people do judge others unfairly. Some other types of businesses may also discriminate and be less likely to hire a female with a visible tattoo, even is she is the most qualified person for the job. This is just something to think about when getting a tattoo for girls.

Decide if you want your tattoo to show, or if you would prefer to place it in a discreet location. For girls, it is important to keep in mind what skin will show when wearing certain bathing suits, formal dresses, and other attire. If you are comfortable with the tattoo showing in a certain location with certain clothing, you are probably making a choice you can comfortably live with.

A tattoo for girls will most likely be smaller and more brightly colored than a guy's tattoo. You may wish for a smaller sized tattoo as well, or cute designs such as the tattoos that look like permanent bracelets or ankle jewelry. Many mothers and daughters like to get matching or coordinating tattoos, which is also a great idea for a tattoo for girls. Keep in mind that one day your own little girl may be asking you about your own tattoo, so keep that in mind before you get inked. You'll have this tattoo for life, so you'll want to make sure it is something you'll be pleased with forever.

Tattoo Patterns

Tattoo patterns can range from the simplest of designs to very intricate patterns. There are tattoo patterns for almost anything imaginable. If you are searching for the perfect tattoo pattern for yourself, make sure to check out a large variety of sources to get a good feel for everything that is available to you.

Many online websites devoted to tattoos can serve as great resources when searching for tattoo patterns. Some sites even offer you the flexibility of being able to download tattoo patterns that you can purchase and download from iTunes.

Many people choose specific patterns for their tattoos to represent something about themselves of their religious beliefs or heritage. Celtic and Tribal tattoo patterns have always been very popular choices. Many different tattoo patterns are also available in the temporary version. This is a great way to "try on" a certain type of pattern to see if you are comfortable wearing that particular pattern in a specific location on your body.

If you have decided exactly what type of tattoo patterns you like and want to get, talk to your chosen tattoo artist and ask to see any examples of the type of work you are looking for. If you are not comfortable with the quality of this artists' design on your specific pattern, choose another artist. Remember, this is a permanent decision, so don't settle for less if you're not pleased with the past work the artist has done.

If you're still stumped for ideas in choosing a pattern, check with various tattoo shops and view their selections. You can also search any of the many tattoo websites that offer extremely large galleries of their offerings. Tattoo patterns are plentiful and there is certainly something to be found that could please anyone. Take your time doing your research so that you end up with a pattern you can wear proudly.
